Jorge Lopez graduated on Mechanization and has managed the equipment and prototyping in relevant projects related to R&D on microfluidics phenomena, whith the result of Flow Focusing being positioned as an outstanding technology in the field of microencapsulation.
Ingeniatrics is enriching its human capital with professionals knowledgeable on microfluidics technology, even acquainted from the beginning of their careers with the study of Flow Focusing technology and its increasing scope. Jorge López Serrano main professional traits are his continued involvement as a member of the Aerospace Engineering and Flow Mechanics Department on microfluidic technologies projects, i.e. “Study and development of methods, physics, and design of devices for multiple capillary jets production applied to soft and controlled cell encapsulation”. His contribution to the project “biotechnology applied to the development of new diagnostic tools and rare diseases prognosis” and the “study and development of applications, methods, physics and design of devices for the generation of capillary jets and production of micro and nanometric particles, aerosols and foams” was vital. That places him in a unique position in terms of Flow Focusing devices design, manufacturing and quality control. All through his continually progressing career he has played a part in key projects: "Novel Flow Focusing technology to produce microencapsulated probiotic bacteria for the food sector" or the project: "Development and integration of microfluidic microsystems (MEMS), for the production of simple and complex microparticles using Flow Focusing and ElectroFlow Focusing ". His mission in the Department of Engineering and Production of Ingeniatrics Technologies is the design and manufacturing of innovative products to revolutionize the microencapsulation world by means of multiplexing existing systems. He will also be in charge of increasing production as Ingeniatrics Technologies is becoming a technologically advanced equipment manufacturer: CellENA cell microencapsulation portable device, OneNeb analytic nebulizer for Agilent Technologies and Frialia-model nozzles for its distributor Frialia Microclimas. Ingeniatrics Technologies CEO Joaquin Gomez’s words have been: "We focus on skilled human capital as the first bridge towards our mission, what is to translate the most innovative engineering on added value for the benefit of the society. Coming a manufacturer, Ingeniatrics enters a new stage; Jorge is going to be a main pillar for his ability at the time of accurately making concepts come tangible objects". |
