The birth of the Flow Blurring technology was achieved as an evolution of the Flow Focusing technology. As the latter, it was developed by the researching group of Professor Alfonso Gañán-Calvo (University of Seville, Spain) and Ingeniatrics has an exclusive license to exploit it (see patents).

Flow Blurring is the most efficient technology in the world for pneumatic atomization. Its particular but simple geometry produces a highly turbulent mixing between a gas and a liquid (see figure), leading to the generation of a spray of extremely fine droplets.

Compared to other pneumatic technologies, Flow Blurring produces sprays with much finer droplets for the same energy cost or sprays with the same droplets size, but important energy saving.
